专家简介:Boo Hyun Yoo,韩国庆熙大学(Kyung Hee University)土木工程系教授,系主任,美国University of Texas at Austin土木工程博士,Transportation Research (CTR), Austin, Texas博士后研究员。韩国岩土工程学会(KGS)、美国土木工程学会岩土工程学院(GI)和交通研究委员会(TRB)委员。2011年到2023年,Boo Hyun Yoo在美国University of Central Florida (UCF)工作并获终身教职,同时担任University of Central Florida (UCF)地下研究实验室主任。

主要研究领域为地质灾害和风险评估、岩土材料、交通地质、遥感等领域,已发表SCI检索论文90余篇。

近年来,随着城市化进程的发展,韩国城市人口迅速增加。同时,气候变化引起的异常天气(如极端降雨)也使得基础结构设施在迅速恶化,导致各种地质灾害和地面坍塌事故逐年迅速增加。

本报告主要介绍如何基于地理信息系统(GIS)和先进遥感技术(卫星、无人机等),实现分析和预测不同环境条件下地质灾害的方法,以预测地面灾害的时空风险,并基于此,提高对气候变化条件下地质灾害风险管理和岩土安全管理等科学问题的认知。

Abstract:

In recent years, Korea has seen a rapid increase of population in urban areas due to urbanization, and the deterioration of infrastructure structures and systems is rapidly progressing along with abnormal weather (e.g., extreme rainfall) caused by climate change. As a result, various geohazards and ground collapse events are increasing rapidly every year.

This seminar proposes state-of-the-art technologies and implications for geotechnical failure mechanism, analysis, and prediction of urban geohazards, focusing on spatial and temporal characteristics of geohazards. Using geographic information (GIS)-based and advanced remote sensing (satellites, drones, etc.) technologies, we introduce methods for analyzing and predicting geohazards under various environmental conditions. The goal is to predict the spatiotemporal risk of ground disasters, and through this, we aim to enhance academic understanding of geohazard risk management and geotechnical safety management in response to climate change.
