报告摘要

In mega cities, glass facade systems used in modern high-rise buildings have gained popularity due to their architectural features, and superior acoustic and thermal insulation properties. To prevent fire from spreading, glass facade must be carefully designed aiming to enhance its thermal performance and minimizing the occurrence of fire spreading vertically to different floors or horizontally to adjacent buildings. Therefore, it is essential to understand the thermomechanical mechanisms of glass facade under fire. The present study develops experiments and computational frameworks based on meshfree/meshless techniques to investigate the thermal degradation of glass facades under fire conditions. In this talk, experiments and numerical simulations are presented to examine the fire performance of glass facades under different fire scenarios. These findings will help to improve the fire protection design of modern building glass facade systems, address various safety and reliability concerns, and provide valuable theoretical and practical resources for modern building design.
